Which provider/package is suitable for a residents association

A residents association that I am involved with has an eircom line which they mainly use to receive calls (and these all go to voicemail as the line isn't manned). There make very few outgoing calls. Moving to VoIP would probably be a great move for them.

    My questions:
    - Blueface told me that it is e60 to port the eircom number. Do other providers charge the same?
    - Blueface only offer the number port with their e9.99/month package. Will other providers do a port on cheaper packages?
    - Receiving voicemail through email sounds like it will be perfect for the association. Any limitations I should be aware of?

Blueface is the only provider that forces you to sign up for a subscription in order to get a geo-number. All others give you a geo-number with a pre-pay account. I'm a Blueface customer so I can't comment on the other companies and I can't even remember their names. I'm sure somebody else can help...

If you want a free geographic number you can try freespeech.ie, they also provide voicemail to email but they do NOT port numbers. I use them and do not have any issues.

I think any provider who offers porting of numbers will charge for the service.
