Flexible Brake Hose Pipe for a Ford Escort

Failed my NCT over a month and a half ago because of a chaffed flexible brake hose pipe on the drivers side. Rang my Ford Dealer to get it sorted and I'm still waiting on the part, 6 weeks later! I've rang around nearly every Ford dealer in Dublin and nobody has one. A guy in Ashley has been even trying to source one in the UK for me but no luck. I'm not very comfortable driving around with an expired NCT and a potential problem with the brakes so want it sorted ASAP. I'm also selling the car soon enough and want it all sorted. Anyone know of anywhere I might get on?
Car is a '98 Ford Escort 5 door..

Have you tried a motor factors? They'll probably have to order them in but it usually only takes a few days. I got replacement ones for a primera in blanchardstown motor factors before, the guy said at the time that the only ones they keep in stock are for punto's and VW's because they're the most common failures.

Would they be Ford branded ones then? If not, would a Ford dealer fit non-Ford parts? When it comes to brakes I don't like to take a chance, I like to let my main dealer do the work.

Any mechanic or fast fit fitter will do the brake lines on an escort, it's a pretty simple job if you know what you're doing, I did my own on the primera. Ford garages just aren't interested in working on a car that old.

Anybody know anywhere in Blanch that would do this job for me?
