Want to get a jacket altered.

    Hello to the well dressed.

I have a woollen jacket that I wish to have altered. It is a fitted jacket and I want to have the waist loosened slighlty. There is really not much material in the seams so I was wondering if a panel could be put in?. Its for sports use (equestrian) so I`m keen to get it down properly as it fits the shoulders and arms perfectly.

Could anyone recommend a place to go and possible cost?.

    Thank you.

i worked in a clothes store in dublin ages ago that dealt with a lot of suit alterations, we sent ours to an alteration place on South Annes street, just off grafton st, i cant remember the name, its about the 3rd floor up in a buliding, which also houses a french restauraunt and wine bar, la cave i think?? anyway, it looks quite grotty, but is supposedly really good, we sent a lot of expensive suits to get altered, and I dont think there were any complaints! sorry for lack of specifics, but i remember the owner/head tailor was a guy called Eamon if that helps?? Again, not too sure about costs, prob approx. €25-30, worked there a long time ago! hope it helps in some way!
