done a search under this first and the last discussion was over a year ago where the general concensis was that its a joke and too hard to get a bet matched.

Now 15 months later whats your opinion. The seem to have alot of activity and i was thinking of transferring 1/4 of my bank their to try and get better prices. Whats everyones opinions and what are the main cons and pros of each??

90% of the time I find better odds on Betfair but it pays to keep something in the Betdaq a/c just in case you see a better price there.

I can usually get a bet matched on Betfair no probs but Betdaq in general is very hard to get matched on in my experience.

I never opened a betdaq account to be honest, but It is one of them things that I need to get off my arse and do. From glancing at it now and again, it appears that betfair odds are better, but I'm sure this is not always the case, and I suppose it would be handy to have a few quid in it just in case.

Must be a tough job bringing betdaq from an exchange with little action to the exchange it is now, and i suppose betfair was in the same position once. I suppose the new wanna bet forum can be compared, its a catch22 situation, if you can just get a bit more action it would grow from strength to strength but how can you get them there in the first place if there is little action. Suppose thats where advertising, giving prizes etc comes in, just look at the thread wbailey posted, that thread was probably busier than any thread in this forum over the past day, few more clever ideas like that and it should really take off. Anyway im getting a bit of topic so ill shut up now!

Its worth opening a Betdaq accout if only for the free introductory offer. For the bigger meetings the betting is ok, although the in-running is non existant. Other sports such as football have decent liquidity.

I think it was €25 when I joined - have a root around on the web for the most recent offers...

For small betters like me, Betdaq allows minimum bets of 50c I think, against 4 euro minimum on Betfair. Which is nice...

And Betdaq supports multiple bets on some markets.

There is an easy way around the €4 Betfair Minimum, see the sticky tread here by Wbailey on betfair. Using this you can bet as little as 1 cent although its a pain if your trying to get a price before it moves as it takes a bit longer.
