I would like a cruiser bicycle for my commute to work and city cycling.I like the look of the Schwinn Cruisers but can't find anywhere in ireland that stocks them. I think I need about 5 gears or so. Does anyone know somewhere that stocks good cruisers?

They have schwinns in stock in that shop on patrick street (near christchurch).

I bought a seven speed one a few months ago and use it to commute ( 9k each way). it's a very nice, very relaxing bike to cycle. you sit bolt upright so you can see all round you (which is nice if you're used to being hunched over on a racer).

on the other hand it's really very heavy (must be 23kg). the handle bars are ridiculously wide, so if you like to weave about in traffic you can forget it. riding something this shiny and conspicuous gets you quite a bit of attention and a certain amount of abuse.
