So played a player called oldSkool on tribeca for 3 sessions over the weekend
A player i have actually got 2K of hands with in the last year and another 1k from this weekend
He is a big loose passive floater normally the kind of player i eat up

so in the 3 sessions I won no money of old skool and actually shipped quite a lot his way
I was doing very well in all 3 sessions as old Skool had so riled up the customers that they where paying me of in spades
in all 3 sessions i won 4+buy ins during the session but eventually shipped most of that to oldskool as he eventually rivered me 1 to many times and i went a little tilty
As our famous oldskool eventually walked of with 4+,8+and 3+ in buy ins

During the session i have both had postion and given postion to this gent
his VPIP is 43+% + his PFR is 7%

His typical play is to call a raise pre call flop call turn and bet river
His reads must be pretty good as you dont see him calling many river bets back beaten yet i have seen him call flop turn lead river and call pot bet back with 22 unimproved
now this guy should be easy to play but he has an uncanny knack of filling a set ot two pair on the river

Any you guys got experience of the Skoolster
    how have you faired ?

Any tips for playing him tighten up considerably or maybe play a little looser?

I'm bored of the word "floating"

I always thought a floater was something you couldn't flush. Is that where the poker term came from?

yip the Tribeca buttons now look like this:

    "call"
    "Raise"
    "Fold"

and then there is the "Advanced" button and when you click on that you get :

    "Float"
    "Push fold" buttons as well.

    No stupid random bet generator?

    Tribecca sucks.

    Serious replies please!

There was a thread I read today in the mid-stakes NL forum on 2+2 about what to do if you are getting floated and your continuation bets are getting called and you're getting check-raised on the turn and so on.

The general consensus against this type of player was to reduce the % of the time that you C-bet and either check-call or check-raise the flop.
Also if you raise PF with AK and miss, keep the pot smaller if possible against someone who will bet if he thinks you have missed.
