    Hi All,
Sorry for wasting time with what will seem to so many of you like a dumb question.
Got a new phone today, nothing too fancy....Nokia 1600.

My old phone was a piece of crap, this isn't much better but should see me through a few years.

Anyway, I've got two midi files that I want to use as ringtones but am unsure how to get them on my phone.

There's a mini-usb port so I could go out and buy the cable, no infra-red or anything.

Does anyone know if a simple 'buy the cable' will work?

Also does anyone perhaps know of a web uploading service where I can upload the files and have them sent to my phone?

    Thanks in advance

I have the same phone, I heard that it's a nokia data cable you will need, and is supposed to be hard to get. Im not sure if this is actually the case. Post back if you find any mor info.

It looks like it is indeed hard to locate, found something here. We have a Mobiles/PDAs forum here for future reference.

Thanks a million Ruu, was considering using my return policy and getting another but spending 6.99 seems way easier.

Once again I am baffled that humanity survived the 100,000 year long pre-boards era.

Also noted about the mobiles board, didn't notice it earlier.

    Thanks again,
    Gos
