Green Joker Poker will be holding it's first poker festival at the end of November in The Boyne Valley Hotel, Drogheda. The Main event starts on Friday 24th November. It will be a €1000+€75 reg NL Holdem tournament with 15,000 starting chips and a 1 hour clock. We expect 200 players and it will be a three day event.

    Blind levels will be 25/50 50/100 75/150 100/200 150/300 200/400 etc....

Supporting this will be a €300+€30 event on the Saturday starting at 2pm with 8k chips and a 45 minute clock, this will be a two day event.

On Sunday will be a €200 + €20 event with 6k chips and 30 minute clock.

Live Satellites will be held nearer the time.

Our €250 Freezouts at The Boyne Valley Hotel will pay out at least 3 tickets to the main event. Single table satellites to the €1000 event will be available also. The next one is August 6th.

After the WSOP has finished satellites will begin online at www.greenjokerpoker.com.

There will also be the facilty to buy into this tournament from your Green Joker Poker online account. Also you can pay into these events from your Green Joker Poker Sponsorship fund. Start playing now and reduce the buy in cost or eliminate it completely.

Thats what we kinda planned to be honest. We wanted a local festival for local people :)
The idea is to have a good solid weekend of poker that everyone can find a decent tournie for their pocket and still get a deep stack, long blind game.

I bet someone still goes out in the first level :)

Is there a limit to the number of players? I assume if there is, and there is a real danger of this filling up (any events) you will be posting here/antesup?

Edit: Never mind, just seen on Antesup that you can cater for 350 if necessary. Good stuff.

Sounds good anyways, and I would definitely be interested in the 300 game at least, all things being equal.

We will have a deal sorted soon. Rooms are block booked, just sorting out a price, won't be done until I get back from Vegas though.

Nearer the time you will be able to buy in direct thru Green Joker Poker including hotel if you wish.

Many thanks for the responses guys. Honestly, it makes us get geared up for this even more. We talked about it and wanted to run the tournies we'd want to play ourselves and hope everyone else agrees. The "side games" will be given as much attention as the main event because we appreciate that for some players "even" the 200 event may represent weeks or months of saving so they deserve as much time and deep stacks.

Really looking forward to this now since I won my ticket on Friday. If any one else is looking to win a ticket, I'd highly recommend the €25 re-buy in the STAR & CRESCENT(Drogheda) each Friday. Its very very soft:) There were 18 there this week with 3 tickets up. One €1000, 1 €300, and 1 €200. 30 min levels to break then 20 mins after. 3000 chips for re-buy and 5000 for top up. Blinds after top up are only 100-200 so even the short-stacks should have about 40x BB's.

I might give this a go in the next couple of weeks. Especially since all the good players playing their should have their tickets won already...

Is there a good chance of getting away with one rebuy and top-up?
