    Hey all,

Im new here and just had a question.

Does anubody think that there is a market for a website that allowed people to post items (books, bicycles whatever) for sale. I think it would be a handy resource for students. After all getting rid of your schollbooks at the end of a year etc. can be a pain. This would only operate in the Galway area.

    Your feedback is welcome.

Would have thought the advertiser had it sown up - unless you can offer a different angle somehow..
Maybe only accept ads with photos of items - so that it gives the buyer more info before they go to the bother of contacting the seller and potentially having their time wasted?

I dont think the advertiser offers that much versatility. You mentioned one of the specific points i was thinking of, pictures. But i think there is more. A site like this would specifically sell only things pertaining to students. (more specifically books). Also you could be guaranteed that they were actually students, so metups would be more than likely be round the respective college. This makes it much easier and quicker to get what u want.

Just my thoughts. Anyone else have any input?

Could also approach computer services in NUIG (or the SU) to see if you could get some class of a link up between the college and your website. Sort of a gaurantee thats its by students and for students. I don't know its just an idea.
Is there a market? i'd say so ya wouldn't college books up in the advertiser. Bikes as well and stuff like labs coats and science kits are expensive enough to buy new. If your going student only i'd say theres a market for a small-medium website anyway
