    I saw this Scrabble dictionary that accepts both spellings of the word...how weird/wierd (sorry!)

    Just wondering if both are correct of if there is just one correct one.

    That "i before e" thing has got a whole generation of folks spelling weird incorrectly.

    Hopefully they've banned it from the curricullum.

    "i before e except after c" is only a rule of thumb so obviously it's not right in every case. I'd go with wyrd ftw just to be safe.
