    It's true!
When you're away - you just can't stop looking at places and saying to yourself: "that would be ideal for such and such model ...."

    Quite true.
Didn't think of that. But I'm sure something would be suitable ... some of the all fibreglass models, for instance.

Have to say tho ... Here in Ireland we really have everything it takes for soaring. Wind. Hills & coastal cliffs. No problem going on the land to get to those places (most times)

yeah... how much do gliders cost roughly for a beginners model? if they are cheap I would probably get one, my bro might then my dad would have to try it :P

I saw a guy get an outfit for €240 the other day in green Hobby.
Kinda basic radio, but genuine micro servos, and a really nice fibreglass fuselage glider.
If he had been interested in used models he could have had a better radio with it.

Yes - almost always there is someone swopping, moving up, and so on.
At the moment I have a "Joy" javelin launch glider that I am wanting to swop for a discus launch.
Three years ago I said "When I crash that I will get the new one and move the gear over .... Do you think it would crash? It has been perfect landings ever since !
Someone else has a Daisy glider made up for sale/swop but I don't know who. I saw it tho, he asked me to test fly it, and it flew fine. I think he got hooked on engine models since.

Dunno ... you would have to fly it first, Then decide if you really wanted it.
Not pretty any more - well used, hundrerds of flights. So not a lot, more just to cover the "innards" .
Here is a pic of it at Killakee north slope 2 weeks ago.
Joy - waiting for sunset so I can see it fly

    (SIGHS)
Oh ye of little faith ......

What are the chances of getting struck by lightning twice!
Don't you know that if a model plane has been pre-disastered it statistically has an incredibly low chance of encountering a second such disaster during it's life!
Therefore it would be worth much more once it's been crashed ! :p
And it's clear that Flunked would find such an aircraft impossible to crash no matter how hard he tries! :D

Us fliers usually have a few models that are crashed so many times that they are infinitely valuable.
