I bought a remote that looks identical which was branded Omega. I'm guessing the tevion is just rebadged.

It was only OK, I couldn't get a some of operations for my NTL digital working, for instance it was not possibly to view the TV guide with it, which is a fairly important feature.

It was fine with my Phillips TV. It hardly worked at all with an Amstrad DVD player, the only thing it could do was turn it off and on.
