What range of hands might someone limp in, call a raise with, then make such a silly overbet on the flop here?

    Button ($221.17)
    SB ($220.65)
    BB ($53.20)
    UTG ($174.72)
    Hero ($194.25)
    CO ($195.90)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Kspade.gif, Kdiamond.gif. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, Hero raises to $10, 4 folds, UTG calls $8.

    Flop: ($23) 9club.gif, 2spade.gif, 3spade.gif(2 players)
    UTG bets $30.41,

Who cares what he has, im either pushing here or calling and getting it all in on any turn, allthough id be less happy if a spade falls.

If I had to guess Id say he probably has AA but there are too many hands which will pay you off here to really worry about it.

lol! when I push and only have 2 outs left against a set I DO care. He had 33.

Everyone knows that betting out when you hit a set is the new black.

is it just me, but I really hate those w_ankers who bet weird amounts (like 30.41). Or the gob****es who raise 4.78. They put me on tilt so easily its frightening. Them and the morons who sit in a 1/2 cash game with 20 dollars. Fcuk off and buy an ice cream with it.

    Aren't mondays great

I think the reason their betting such random amounts is because of the slider thingy, they're too lazy to write in the number and so just grab the slider and bet wherever it lands. I am not a fan of this either.

there is 1 guy (at least) on party who does this . he buys in for 40 in 1/2 on 10 tables. he waits for a big hand ( vpip 6% ) and raises half his stack or goes allin .If he doubles up he cashes and moves on. its amazing how many times i have seen him called.

I know that guy, he's pretty bad though, if there is 3+ limpers his pushing range is very wide. I usually call him with 88+ AJs+

If I had to guess he has a set (not based on results but possibly based on Nicky posting the hand) but like HJ i get it all in anyway, most likely on the flop.
