I saw a thread on hendonmob that the final table of the 50K H.O.R.S.E event has been changed to NLHE.
The whole WSOP seems to be ran in 'fcuk you, you're only a player' manner.

Actually WSOP HORSE events have always been NLHE at the FT.

I think the logic is that the HORSE tournie identifies the best all-round poker player, and that as all the variants are limit ones, they have the final table as no-limit to include that skill also.

The TV companies also like NLHE more than the other variants too...

In the Hndonmob thread about this same incident someone mentioned hassle with Andy Black the other day. Did I miss something. What's that about?

Negreanu had a big rant about this on his blog as well. reckons that if he at least doesn't get his money back he won't play any more WSOP events, (except for the main event as he's paid in for that already)

yeah cos he planned on sitting out the early levels, but because it was changed to 6 handed he got blinded out!!!!

    Bloch not Black Nicky.

It's funny that you should make this mixup after Andy Black's quote the other day that he was supporting Andy Bloch in the HORSE final because with all the confusion between their names he reckoned it would raise his profile! lol

All the aggro and poor organisation around the WSOP makes you wonder why people play these games. No explicit value except for the off table marketing opportunities compared to alot of other events with similar buyins that people could play. And the value of bracelets is seriously diminishing in my view but I could be wrong....

Cant find the Andy Black stuff, but this is quite funny. One player who's chips have gone missing, and an empty seat with chips in front of it.
All sounds a bit disorganised. I'm really really glad that I didnt qualify. Not.

yeah he actually got heads up against david singer without even being there!! i do agree with DN and demitriou aout the whole thing. its always been 10 handed and strategy is completly different 10 handed vs 6 handed. kind of disappointing - its yet another balls up by the organisers. hopefully next year (when i finally go over!) they will have sorted a lot of these issues out

This is the Andy Bloch inkydent.

    ***********
Uh-oh, Andy Bloch's in trouble! The qualified lawyer stepped over the legal line on Friday when he crushed an apparently marked card in his hand during play...

Explaining the incident, Bloch said on PokerNews, "The situation is going to be improved after today, but they didn't start the day with new cards and they should have in such a big tournament. One player found a card that had a mark. The dealer spread a new deck and there were a bunch of cards [in the new deck] that had marks on them too."

Harry responded on hendonmob forum. Also Negreanue has VERY STRONG feelings about it on his video diary

All this is a storm in a teacup. Harry Demetriou normally talks a lot of sense but is wrong on this one. If any of you have ever played a double or treble shootout you will notice that if the event is not full then you play short handed on your first table to make sure all the following tables are 10/9 handed. Why would it be any different in a Live Event? If they had 600 players and played ten handed they would have 60 winners and have to play the next round 6 handed or the final six handed.

Yeah have to agree with Mike also in Daniels video blog his point was that the table be maximum 11 it didnt say anything about lower amounts at the table to get it balanced i think they were right to go 6 handed,

Seems everything isnt running smoothly that missing satck is unbelievable. They were really bad last year especially loos and food but I believe there sorted at least. Problem is the wsop brandname is so strong going to be very hard to do anything about it. I believe they took 5% on teh HORSE which is madness over 2k per player. I reckon buying binnions was one of the best moves by Harrahs i reckon the brand is worth way more than the casino. I would say fair fecks if they would get things in order

They sold Binnions app 24 hours after buying it - keeping the famous horshoe sign and name and the WSOP branding.
