How much value am I losing here?

Live 1-3 NLHE game. I have ~€300, Villain has ~€500. I have no info whatsoever on this guy, he could do or play anything and believe he's playing properly.

I'm on button, three limpers to me, I make a loose drunk call with A4o. Both blinds call)

    Flop (18): AQ4r, giving me top-and-bottom two.

Checked to villain on my left who bets 50. I just flat call. Everyone else folds.

Turn (118) is a 3, making a flush draw. Again villain bets 50, again I just flat call.

River (218) is an 8, no flush possible. Again villain bets 50, and again I just flat call.

My question: considering my stack size compared to bets faced, is calling all the way down a good line here? I've a feeling I should have pushed the turn, but I'm not sure what calls me that I'm ahead of.

Raise the turn, not a huge raise but enough for him to call with AT/AJ. If and when he checks the river, value bet, if Villain bets the river just call.

If you dont have any info on a villain you need to take into account how a game generally runs. Against tightish opposition most will fold any one pair hand to a raise at any stage during the hand, so calling is better. In the fitz 1-2 game Ax is going broke so raising is better.

This is interesting, cos I've just started playing this game recently and I'm playing cautiously enough until I get a feel for the general play.

It's probably a basic hand anyway (I feel a bit embarassed posting it!), but it's just that if I raise the turn I'm pot-commited, and if I push I'd be surprised if Ax called me. It turns out that this guy had Q3o , hitting his two-pair on the turn so I would have stacked him anyway. He's definately a player for my live buddy list.
