Ideas for Software

I have many ideas for good poker software - some of which I have dabbled with in the past.

One idea is to make a simple application that you could enter in(or if it got more advanced could grab the data) your pokertracker stat details and then it would analyze it and suggest ways in which u could improve.
This app could also suggest ways of exploiting opponents plays. I don't think this would be too difficult to do.

Also another idea is to make some pokertracker viewer to do further analysis of the database. For example I have run some sql scripts in the back end access (b4 i changed it to postgressql) database to gather different info - one useful bit of information I got was I did far far better over the weekend than i did during the week - the obvious conclusion for me was twofold - 1 I was more alert over the weekend and 2. I had more recreational opponents over the weekend. Anyway this is just one useful example, there could be plenty of useful sql scripts to be run that are not built into pokertracker.

The two ideas I mention above are just the tip of the iceberg potentially - but on these two does anybody know if there is something available out there already?
If not any experienced programmers interested in getting involved - I'm comfortable writing sql scripts and vb.net - other stuff like c++ or java I have limited knowledge of. BTW - I'm busy with lots of stuff so the amount of time I could give to this would be limited particularly at the moment.

Be interested to hear peoples thoughts, any great ideas you might have etc.

You can do that time analysis thing with PT.

I think most of the analysis type stuff has been done to death now and any new software will just be copies of existing software that supports smaller sites or it'll be software that gets even deeper into that grey area of what is or is not allowed.

Can you, didn't realize that, then again the more I look at this app the more I find out it can do, do you mind telling me where you can do it?

Go to the "session notes" tab and click on the "more detail" button on the top right.

cheers for that. Really a great app pokertracker isn't it :D

I take your point about most of the good software is already done and at this stage it'll probably oinly be little niche areas - but there is nearly always some little niche to cover, to be honest I probably don't have the time to follow anything through anyway.

But on my other point is there any play analyser tool out there I think there probably is, but if there isn't it woud be a neat little app i think.
