    Laois 2-13 V 0-13 Meath

Due to work commitments, had to make do with watching it on RTE2. Laois came good in the end in what was a very good game. Why are we still giving Garvan a full game? I thought he was woeful.

I wonder who we'll get next. Good to have two tough games behind us now after the Dublin downfall.

About time Munnelly did something this year ;)

Nah, I'm messing, was great to see Laois come back like that after Meath went ahead, and especially to see them scoring goals which is something they've had problems with in the past. The RTE commentators made a point about the goals being very different too, Munnelly was obviously calm and collected, knew exactly what he was doing, rather than it just being a hit-and-hope that went right. Great vision from Kavanagh for the flick-on for the first goal too.

Out of interest, when is Clancy expected to be back does anyone know?

What hit me was Munnelys fitness. For the second goal, he can be seen tracking back at his own 45. Then he's supporting the attack and scoring the for the goal.

Well it is good to see Meath out. They have maintained their tactics as per Boylan. Geraghty should have been sent off, on at least 2 occasions.

Went to the match there tonight. Have to say it was a very good match. Meath played well, but as soon as Laois got the first goal Meath started to fall apart. Great match though.

Missed the game due to work. Sounds like a great win for Laois, continuing on from the Tyrone victory! Excellent, its the Quarter-Final stage next right? [Laois, Longford, Westmeath, Dublin, Offaly, Fermanagh, Donegal, Armagh, Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo all remaining?? Seems too many teams, is there another qualifier round?]

Munnelly scored 2-04 that is a great return from half-forward, [im assuming thats where he was playing] lets just hope he doesnt get a big head now.

Surely Laois can be confident of progressing further now.

Clancy I believe is out for 4 weeks, so should be back for the next game. I suspect Garvan will be dropped, with Quigley to start. I also think Ian Fitz should be starting before Kavanagh in the corner.

The 4 winners from the qualifers have to play the 4 beaten provisional losers, and then it's into the quarter final stages.

    Conor.

Wasnt a bad game at all, Meath started very well in both halves but just couldnt maintain it. Munnellys first goal came at a crucial time for Laois and they were able to kick on from there. I still dont think they are realistic All Ireland contenders though, they would have to improve greatly.

What are you on about?? It's far different than the Boylan days, obviously you're only new to the sport so I can understand that much.

And Geraghty should have been sent off?:D :D Keep them coming, seriously, good one. If anything, he's been the victim of some dodgy 'tackles' this year and it's typical anti Geraghty tripe that you get from clueless folk like you.
