This post may belong in the Poker section ( ) but I suppose its' just a relevant here. Anyways, what sites and/or software do you use for playing online poker on your Mac?

I've just switched over from a PC laptop to a MacBook and PaddyPowerPoker doesn't work on a Mac. Any suggestions?

    Ta!

ok some really really bad news. The only site which will work on mac is Full Tilt, which has the highest standard of any site.
I was a consistent winning Sit and Go winner on Pokerstars at the 50's and when i moved to full tilt (because of my mac), I found it difficult to beat the $10 STT's.

But on the plus side, full tilt has great tournaments regularly, and with the exposé function on the mac you can multi-table to your heart's content!

there are a few other ones, but they're pretty pathetic, spades lounge, like 70 people online at any one time...

pokerroom.com do a java one that you don't download, haven't really used that. Or just google java based poker rooms, any of them will work.

there's sort of a way you could play paddy power on it if you still have your windows computer, but it's really slow. It's basically a remote desktop thing to control your windows pc using your mac. If you want to try that i'll tell you what you need.

Thanks for the replies! I'm not too keen on the 'remote desktop' idea. Sounds great but I just don't want to go to too much trouble over this. I'm going to be holding on to my PC laptop for a while anyway so I think I'll just keep playing (and losing :p ) on that for now!

I've got this fear of putting anything to do with Windows on my Mac. It comes from 12 months of using XP Pro and having to thrall through thousands of system files anytime something went wrong (which was more than when things went right!).

Anyway, what's the deal with bootcamp? Does it install a lot of extra stuff? I don't fancy going to all that trouble just for Poker when I've got my PC here already. Also, I think I only have a 'System Recovery' software CD for XP Pro which came with my laptop so I'm not sure if I will be able to do a clean install of Windows?
