Hi all, i was just wondering if anyone here had any information on travel insurance for a year travelling. I am heading to Australia in November for a year and i was wonder what kind of travel insurance should i get. I heard something about Ireland having some agreement with Australia regarding medical care, but not too sure what (any info on this would be appreciated). I was told my VHI would only cover me for 180 days travelling, so that is no good.. They are offering a global healthcare package of €709 for the year (is that dear, i am not sure what way it all works to be honest)... Anyone who has maybe experienced this or knows anything about it, i would really appreciate any advice. Thanks :)

If you do a search you'll find loads of posts about it.

Do a search for the posts in boards, i raised one aswell.

700 is too expensive, i'm going with fyi.ie for €220, good deal and good coverage!
