    hey.

havin a few probs with a flash voyager mem stick..

bought 2 a few months back.
1 for me nd 1 for my dad. now, it comes with a c.d, but thats really for partition, format nd password stuff.
so im using it regualarly, to transfer files over nd back from machine to machine, nd to go nd fix other computers etc, but when i used it yesterday it came up saying

the hard drive is not formatted. format now?

i tried both mem sticks, nd it was d same on both.
tried both of them on about 5 diff computer's nd still d same. tried several diff usb ports, a hub, etc and still d same.

does anyone know if they need to be formatted regurlarly?
ive all d info saved nd backed up that was on it, so its not a huge problem, but im just wonderin if its a prob with the mem sticks them selves, or something else!!

anyone seen this before, or any ideas why its happening?

    cheers for any help!

I have a Corsair Voyager I got from Komplett and it has never ever posed a problem. I dropped it in my guinness and didnt notice till I came to the bottom of the glass and it's still perfect.

HD's format should not affect the memory key.

Win 2000 and above will work w/o the install CD.

The only time you should have to format (part) of the memory key is if you want it to be password protected.

Other than that, maybe it's a hardware fault on either the key or the comp or hopefully someone else can help.:)
