    Hey Folks,

Just wondering can anybody help. My friend has recently got a 360 with a Sharp HD Aquos Telly. He got the Component HD AV cable.

When you connect the cable up to the telly, there is only a connection for the Green, Blue and Red connectors for the HD, there is no Red / White connector for the Audio, instead there is a single audio socket.

We got a Toslink Digital Audio cable to run from the XBox HD cabled into the EXT where the Green, Blue and Red HD connectors are but.........

    No Sound at all.

When you connect up the non HD AV part of the cables the audio works fine.

Has anybody had similar problems or advice on how to setup ?

    Thanks in advance all ;):D

I bought an 26" aquos last month and all the sockets are there. There should be 8 sockets in 2 rows of 4. r g b on one side and y w r on the other. plus audio output sockets at the top of the rows. I also see the jack input at the top beside the hdmi connection. You can get a audio component to jack converter.

yer i have 1. i put my RGB straight into that input on the tv then i had to get a a 3.5mm jack to 2x phono and a set of phono couplers to plug the red white into the audio in as the tv dont support the red white on the same av as the RGB inputs!

Its a pain but it works till i get a decent 5.1 speaker system for the 360. anyone got any ideas on 1?

Yeah, the jump from stereo sound to 5.1 (even a cheap or moderately priced system) is so impressive, it's not worth shelling out big money for a top of the range amplifier and speakers... well maybe it is, but I find the Ministry of Sound one that's going in Argos to be cheap & genuinely cheerful!.. :p

If you have the cash to spare, it's well worth shelling out. Good speakers and amps offer a much better sound, to the cheap speakers. You kinda have to hear the difference to understand it.

But there really is no comparison between Stereo and 5.1
