Travelling to Cardiff for Madonna Concert HELP URGENTLY NEEDED

I'm thinking of going to see Madonna's concert in the Cardiff Millennium Stadium on the 30th of July. The tickets are still on ticketmaster so that's covered. But now I'm trying to figure out the best options about getting there and back
the options I have so far are:
Flights from Ryanair into Birmingham or Bristol at about 60 euro, getting to Cardiff, staying in Cardiff that night, going back to airport and flying home
Flights to Birmingham/Bristol, get to Cardiff, go back to airport and stay there til flight (concert will be done at about 11-11:30)
    or
Get Ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, get to Cardiff and then go back on 2:50 am ferry.
Personally I think the Ferry is the best value but whatever option I choose I need to find a way to get to Cardiff, to the venue and then back.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
If there's a ferry leaving at that hour in the morning surely there'd be some kind of bus/train leaving cardiff after half eleven that evening?
any body who can help me with sorting out distances, cheap deals etc please post. I would really appreciate it!

Fly into Bristol. It’s only about 45 minutes on the train from Bristol to Cardiff which is very regular and £12 return if I remember correctly. I went over for the FA Cup final and actually stayed in Bristol, just travelling up on the day of the match.

Jeez I thought someone had died there for a second.

I couldn't take in the rest of your post as I was in shock:p

Take the Ferry, should be a few more like you as well going to, coming from concert, also holidaymakers, have few beers, relax, atmosphere should be good...that'd be my thinking.

Fly to Bristol and get a bus from the airport to the central station, then a bus to Bristol Temple Meads train station - it's a very short hop on the train to Cardiff. Birmingham would be much further to travel.

Holyhead to Cardiff is a slow train journey, there is no way you would get to the 02.50 ferry from a concert in Cardiff.

You wouldn't even make it to Fishguard for that ferry. (train leaves Cardiff at 10.30)

Birmingham International to Cardiff is a 3 hour trip, and unless you book in advance the fare is about £40 return.

Bristol to Cardiff is a 45 minute trip and the fare is much cheaper £12 return on the day or £5-8 return booked in advance http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/

Book the cheap flights to Bristol now before they go up.
