just thought I'd point out this 355 replica - what a load of rubbish, it looks crap! anyone who'd part with nearly 22kk for it would need to be locked up!

    Replica

    Real

Ah, it doesn't look that bad. Worth every cent in my opinion. ;)

Could have put more money into it, more badges and got Ferrari Alloys to go with it then it would have been spot on

So what is it, like a Civic with body parts or is it a "real" Ferrari? Didn't realise they done something as modest as a 2 litre

I have seen a lot worse.

Has anyone ever seen the yellow one that hangs around Naas, it is awful...

K-TRIC - have you looked at both cars? apart from the wheels, there's the side vents, the rear window, the shape of the skirts and the fact that it's just too long... it also doesn't have the engine covers even if they were to be fake or the proper seats or steering wheel... It's pretty poor in my opinion. I've seen replicas that wouldn't have 1 flaw for the same price.

I had a quick look at this car yesterday, its very rough looking. The panel gaps are all over the place and the paint is awful.

    I'd say it's an MR2. Link. A bargain at nearly 10K sterling.

The thing is most MR2 replicas are decent - someone didn't put a lot of effort into this one...

Compared to the one we have down in Cork, that one's a beauty. Picture an F355 body sitting on an MR2 chassis with standard track...

Shouldn't it be classified as a Toyota then and not a Ferrari, as mentioned in the ad?

I wonder if this was the real deal or not?

Yes it does look like a 355. If you saw it from space maybe....

I dont think it should be advertised in the same section as the genuine Ferraris. Some muppet will buy it..

It was originally a Toyota MR2.

These MRs are regularly used as the basis for replica Ferraries.

They don't mention it being a replica at all!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,421 ✭✭✭weemcd

    Summary:
engine tuned by beams 200 bhp MR2 based < rofl

Someone should be shot for listing them as a Ferrari in the first place, 2 litre petrol does give the game away though...

They shouldn't be advertising it as a Ferarri. (not that anyone would be fooled)

Then it is a very cheap Ferrari with a 200bhp 2.0 litre engine and MR2 dashboard. Maybe it's a F355 trying to be an MR2. :D
