I think the whole point of flickr is that it's very much up to you. Some people document their whole life, others only put up their best photographs, etc.

I dont use flickr, but I put up the average and the good. I try to delete the totally cr*p (oof, inside all sky, my shoes etc). The iffy ones I often keep but not put onto the web.
It also depends, I took a load at a party recently, and published what I would concider as some poor photo's but it was better to have pictures of everyone, than fewer better picures of just a handful of people.

If it was landscapes or such, I would be more fussy. Guess it's a personal thing.

    Merv.

I put up every photo I take, pretty much. Primarily because I also use Flickr as a sort of last-chance backup, to keep all of my photos in case of drastic occurrences otherwise. With over 3500 photos up there now, it's not a big surprise that I'm wary of losing them all :)

i dont use flickr, but i do select photos i like and concentrate on them, rather than keeping everything..... shooting in RAW, you are looking at using 1gb of your HD evertime i fill my memory card

I think opening two accounts is a good idea. I don't tend to look at pics of a user who uploads everything, life is too short. An account with the pick of the best is better and keep the storage one for(and to) yourself. ;)

Ditto that. I have my 'pretty' account and also a 'storage' account that I keep some originals on. If I get really posh I'll upgrade the storage one to a pro account too ;)

Do you put them on Flickr at the original size or after cropping etc??

I upload my best and keep the raw files for most of my photos on an external HD

Depends on what you're using flickr for really. If its to showcase
your abilities then you should only put up your best photographs otherwise
    its up to you :)

Well, since I started shooting in RAW, I put up the converted-to-jpg (which includes levels adjustment and straightening and exposure modification as well) version, then delete the jpgs from my local storage and just keep the RAW files (with the RawShooter Essentials settings as well, so I can instantly recreate the jpg if I want). I will put up the original, full sized versions though. I rarely crop my images, preferring to try to frame it properly when I shoot it (which, admittedly, I don't do very often... but I'm getting better! Especially since I don't rely on having the crutch of cropping)
