Did the USb key come with any driver CDs? USB support in Win98 can be patchy and may need a driver for the device.

Hmm..Sony website says that their keys do need a driver for Win98.
What type of Sony key is it?
If you look HERE and find your key you will find a link to the driver software for Win98. Download and install and you should be good to go.

    :)

if its Windows 98SE you have a better chance of being successful with your USB device as long as you have the drivers, Windows 98FE is rubbish so hopefully you dont have this one.

Any USB drivers I had for 98SE always worked perfectly on my old 98 first edition computer... What difference is there between the USB support in the two, technically?
