I was stuck in traffic on my way home yesterday and wanted to have a bet so used it. I checked my balance before and after and it cost me 32 cent to get the bet on. I was pretty much in and out, no waiting for prices to matched or anything like that.

There selling 3g phones cheap in extra vision, will these do the job, only problem is they are pay as you go and i was under the impression that you had to be on a bill phone.....am i wrong, the ones in extra vision are 083 mobiles, would this be the best option, ive heard there only 40 euro with credit and 2 free dvds, should i go for that as a starter???

Just an update, 086,087 & 085 works for Betfair Mobile but they currently dont support 083 also known as '3' but not to be confused with 3G.

Anyway it also works on Billpay or pay as you go and is actually quite good. If your unsure if your mobile is comptible just go to www.betfair.com and click on the betfairMobile link which will show you all the compatible models when you enter your phone make eg Nokia, Motorolla etc

Betfair dont charge you anything, not even to download the software to run betfair so you only pay your network charges. So far ive used betfair to place a couple of bets and have yet to be charged, im using vodafone live to connect and have checked my balance several times and still not a penny taken.:D :D

On a seperate note, i bought a 3g phone and as most of you probably know if you subscribe to vodafone live you can get access to the Mobile TV for free until september and thereafter for 1.99 per week. Excellent value and the quality is actually very good and audio is excellent although ive used it very little yet. There are lots of channels from Sky News to Geographic and sky one and also At The Races and Sky Sports News which will both come in very handy, great while its free and if the quality remains good ill definetely subscribe for 1.99 per week.
