Looks like scary stuff, hope you had a read on tik-hal.

Suppose if you think any of those deep stack players are capable calling an allin PF with AK or QQ or less it wouldn't be a bad move.

Why are you trying to isolate with AQ in a cash game? That's brutal tbh.

If you are making similar moves with rubbish and your table thinks you're a donk then by all means push your big pairs.

Generally, it's unbelievably bad to play premium hands like that unless you're at a table full of idiots.

I dont get this at all, whats brutal about it? Isolating with any 2 cards here is probably profitable, with AQ theres no other way to play it.

Accencsions play is absolutley fine and is along the right lines, however theres no need to bet so much. Just make it 20+ more or so, just in case tik-hal smooth called with AA/kk/AK

I do. There was no way he would have called my re-raise.

I'm isolating a short stack with 11 bb's. I'm ahead of his range the majority of the time. The reason I made the move was because there was an idiot at the table with 100 bb's and the other 2 would probably think I'm a retard and call with a hand as bad as 10 10/AK if I pushed again (with a premium)

    Thoughts/Beratings?

as HJ said i think reraising is fine but going all in is not as your making to expensive for your self to find out if he has AA,KK.

And how much would you make it then?

After your call, the pot would be something in the region of $30.

How do you raise and get away from a push?

Going all-in sucks when another player still has to act. If he calls you're fooked.

Ascension yes you're happy to get headsup here against a shortstacks wide range but it's a dangerous move to push with a player to act behind you. When a shorty is all-in and the pot is multiway, i'll often smooth call with KK/AA trying to extract more from the other player left in the sidepot.

    bad player or just a$$hole?

I think my notes on him just say something like "havn't seen him do much, not a retard."

The shorty called, I raised to 5 bb's, big stack called my raise and THEN shorty pushed.

I would expect big stack to re-raise me with AA/KK, thats why I felt safe pushing and trying to create an image of someone that pushes with a biggish A.

But I do understand what your saying. I also appreciate all the comments. cheers. :)

not a terrible player but an absolute prick, some fella sat down and it was a freindly enough .10/.20 table and he went to town on this chap, really ripped into him, table banter is fine but this fella was a real cock.
