Im near London for the week since Monday and have been living in a flat near work for the past couple of days.there is no internet access there so I cant play poker which sucks :( .i only have internet in work and cant play there for obvious reasons(firewall block:D ).
I don’t know any one in London either so just wondering if any one from boards is also here by any chance?

    Hi,

Im no longer in London, but i want to tell you that you'll have a great time there. Its a great place. (Was a student in UCL, and lived in camden). Im sure there must be quite a few "boards.ie" people there.

Check out 'Speakers Corner' at Marble Arch on sunday mornings....great entertainment.

p.s. If you want a cheap dinner go to Middlesex hospital cantine at the end of Googe street. Dinner for about £3 stg....great considering london prices.

Why don't you go to the Gutshot? HalfBaked has been etxremely successful there in his previous visits.

Remember you have to join 24 hours before you can play in the casinos in UK

Gutshot is a cardclub not a casino so I don't know if the same rule applies.

You might find a low stakes game using this site Gholi

    www.friday-night-poker.co.uk/

but you may have left it a bit late to arrange something.

Post something up on the blonde poker forum either and you could easily find a game. They are always looking for fish over there! ;)

    Alright Gholi,

I can certainly recommend the gutshot, they have tourneys every night and soft cash tables. Chilled out place and all you have to do is bring some photo id along the first time, you might actually get away without having to show any. I volunteered it the first time I went, but was never asked to show anything any other time I've been. Enjoy

I think that may be changed now actually - you can just turn up and register and get straight into the casino. Though I haven't tried it...

I'm in London at the moment, and was playing in the Gutshot on Tuesday evening. It's a reasonable place alright. All tournies are self-deal, which I don't like, but the £50 cash games are ok.

The law was changed last year and you can join a Casino on the night as long as you have photo ID. Gutshot is a good place to play as stipulated. And if you're anywhere near Luton then the Luton Grovesnor is a great place to play cards.
