while there's people here who use partition magic (or some other free similar jobbie), can i get this (or an alternative) to create a partition and move all of my games to it without the hassle of uninstalling and re-installing (plus downloading the patches etc.)?

If you create a new partition, you can move files to it of course. But if you have installed programs such as games on your main partition (OS Partition), then you'll have no choice but to uninstall and reinstall the games. If you save the necessary game files then that shouldn't be a problem really.

If you plan on resizing your main partition, just make sure and defrag it beforehand, otherwise you could lose data.
