300GB external Harddrive for 165 euros

I am not sure if this is a bargain or not.

Saw in Maplins (back of the store) they were selling Seagate 7,200rpm 300GB, USB2 external drives for 165 euros. Has backup software with it as well.

Is that cheap?

i saw a 350 for 139.99 in sligo 6 weeks ago, my friend bought it at the time , it was an unknown manufacturer though.

Komplett were doing 320GB for €170 aswell (cant link to it as site is down at the mo), so it seems pretty much standard.

It's a pity you missed the elara deal a few weeks back that had them for €130.

It's actually a bit cheaper if you buy an internal one plus a case for it, but obviously you wont get the backup software for it, so it's up to you which you want.
