Saw II was a great sequel as sequels in the genre typically go, apart from having an ending cheesier then...a very large block of cheese.

So will be looking forward to the second sequel, in a franchise that relies heavily on gore and disturbing the audience with gut wrenching deaths, it should be watchable at worst, even if the storyline/acting etc is sub par....a bit like Final Destination 3 I suppose, which in itself surprised everyone by being both absolutely disgusting and brilliant.

I thought the twist at the end of Saw 2 was better than the original. I actually thought the second was a better film. Is it just me or does jigsaw in those pictures remind you of podge and rodge.

I thought the 1st one was absolute shíte! Really funny in a bad way (the acting was hilarious as was the whole MTV/CSI style direction which changes angle every 3 seconds and crams in loads of montages. However there were too few set pieces and the interesting ones didn't last nearly as long as they main one which i found quite dull. Stole alot from the film Cube too in terms of ideas but i though cube was much better. Haven't seen the 2 sequels of that tho, i'm a bit of a cynic regarding sequels.

Saw 3 is a sequel. Plot from IMDB:
Jigsaw has disappeared. With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard. One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes Jeff (Angus Macfayden), another of his victims, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them...

At least there'll be something to do on halloween night...i'm not into the usual "returns" or "part X" films and i thought they made an arse of the second one as the twist of the first was quite good. James Whan (Director) says that this is the last SAW movie to be made and will go out with a bang. Apparently the first scene will have multiple deaths happening as a scary opener to the movie (Sounds promising).
I hope there is at least one good horror this halloween as so far all have been complete pants in a can.
I think once there's american college students in there of a prehistoric acting elk..its gonna have more depth than a saucer.

II wasn't a patch on the first imo. I'll still go to see this though. Is there any truth to the rumors that there will be nine of these things??

I was sort of hoping that this film would carry on where Saw 2 left off. You know with the cope chained to the pipe at the start. Anybody else disappointed with this.

i enjoyed the second one even if it was filled some straight from dvd trash actors, they must be raking in the money with this franchise
