Hey apologies if this is in the wrong thread!

Has anybody else heard hat the new co-ed secondry school in tramore is to be located in the field at the back of the church by the ESB sub-station?

I bumped into my old principal a while ago and he was saying that the probable location is that field. Then recently 3 planning permission notices went up, one for a supermarket (Tesco) and one for an apartment block and one for a 3rd project which i can't recall now! Does anyone have any news/info on this matter?

Neither of the plans for those fields have anything to do with the secondary school. One was for upgrading of road and surrounding areas, one was for a shopping centre and one was for apartments :)

I heard it was going in one of the fields next to Monvoy or Moonvoy Valley.

What do people think of the location of the Tescos? It's a bit too residental up there in my opinion, I don't think they should build it there.

i think that its better to have tesco up that part of the town cos its more central then if it were down in riverstown!

but where will all the underagers drink? and what about the stoners that live in the ditches up there will the government provide affordable accomodation for these disaffected social minorities?

that school was supposed to be built there this year but thats not likely to happen. my guess is that the apartments and tesco or some sort of shaooping development will be put in there. I had heard of a slightly bigger plan for the above plus a mcdonalds and some other shops in a kind of a town centre layout but that was just a rumour I think

That field is taken as is, for the development of Tesco, Houses, Apartments etc.
