    alright guys, just want to hear what everyone thinks on this one.

    probably buyin a car soon, need some suggestions.

    Rules:
      Engine size:1.4 petrol or 1.9 diesel (max) Price: €3000 (max) Body Type: Hatchback

    3k? if your budget's that tight I would be looking for something that won't cost too much more after the fact. In other words don't buy anything French or Italian!

    See if you can find an old Corolla or Civic (beware of these tho, usually driven to death by burberry caps).
    Seat Ibiza would be a decent buy too.

    Corolla, Astra, Vento, Golf Mk III, Almera, Mondeo, etc. TBH most diesels in that price range will probably be knackered by now. Very hard these days to find an old diesel car that hasn't the **** driven out of it or falling to bits.
