GSM Gateway?? - Is this possible?

Ok, I am always on the look out for cheap mobile calls to the UK as I make a lot of them. With all the "free" o2 to o2, voda to voda, calls I was wondering if the following is possible and if so how can I do it:

I buy two sim cards from the same mobile provider. I put one sim in my mobile and the other in some device (a gateway??), which when I call will automatically dial up (via my landline) telestunt or some other cheapo landline or VOIP calls provider. That way I can make much cheaper calls to UK from my mobile.

Has anybody tried this out? Is there a device like this and what is it called (so I can google and find out more info)?
