I'd rather see the Mac :-)
MacBook Pro, natural light, f/1.8, just a resize.

I love that soft low side lighting. It looks great on the phone, but I think the laptop makes it a bit busy overall - it could be because the shadows and reflections work better on the black object rather than the white object, if that makes sense? That 'M' on the phone looks great though, and the way the light shines on the different surfaces is really nice. I think it could go two ways - you could come out a bit and show the whole of the scene with the laptop and the phone and the table with a coffee or something, or go much more minimalist with just the phone on the table and get right in close. Of course, it's all subjective, as always ;)

very nice - the PP really makes them. I prefer the 1st one myself.

Maybe in the 2nd one if the lap top was angled a bit more to match the phone it would be better balanced? Maybe a tighter crop to get rid if the empty space at the top and the bit of lappie screen on the right?

Cheers for the comments - I thought the 2nd one was the stronger one but most people have said the first. I was trying that golden crop ratio of 1: 1.618 so that meant the crop isnt the way I had intended when framing it. I was trying to get a contrast between the black phone and the white laptop and particularly its transluscent keyboard. Not sure if that worked out the way it was intended. Thanks again.

I do get what you mean about the black and the white - but the thing that lets the keyboard down is the bits underneath the keys, it takes away from the glowiness and the minimalism (is that even a word?). Just a shame the keys don't light up from below...

I thought they did when I got it ! But yep backlit ones would be an improvement to the shot. cheers.

I agree... I just cant stop looking at the mac! Im an addict! Great shot sinecurea!!

To the OP, I love the lighting and the treatment you have given the phone, just would prefer it against a different backdrop! Nice work though
