Your location might prohibit choice. Are you in a cabled/MMDS area? If you are there is a choice, but it depends on your needs.

Sky have a decent enough "good friend" offer, if you know someone with Sky already, get the details from them.

There are other, non-Sky choices, but it can involve sourcing the dish and box yourself and/or English relatives (if any!)

generally MMDS means less digital channels

o right. so how can i tell if its MMDS or not? sorry i'm such an idiot when it comes to these things!!!

MMDS is cable through an aerial

if its underground you will be fine

    Get SKY+. Don't touch NTL.

after 2 years on NTL i'd recommend not to touch it, if it weren't for the broadband connection i'd have left them years ago, there isn't a day i don't have a disruption on the signalm, and it's twice as annoying when you pay an extra tenner (on top of 117 every 2 months) to see the prem plus game and it loses the signal for nearly 20 minutes on two seperate occasions.
