I dunno whether this has being done or not already, but are they any good as channels? NASN looks quite good for the differnat football type things (AFL, CFL etc.) and Setanta has the Celtic League and the like... And to be honest its not actually that expensive, only like €150 a year, which is quite reasonabl compared to Sky Sports... Anyway, what you all think? Is it worth it? And should i hold off till later in year when all the season's kick back in?

Oh and does anybody know whether NASN gets any NFL games at all?

Yeah with NASN they show all american sports which includes aload of NFL, College football, NBA, College basketball, ice-hockey, Canadian football, baseball etc.
    Its a good channel.

I don't think that NASN has live NFL or NBA games. Sky Sports still has these.

The setanta package is quite good in general..NASN has alot of good stuff especially american college sports. The Setanta Irish channels are good and getting better...they have rights to US PGA Golf and more premiership soccer from next year..Formula 1 and lots of GAA, Rugby, Soccer. Very strong on Scottish and European league soccer.

Fast catching up on Sky sports for content and good value in comparison I believe

Nasn is excellent for american and canadian sports..personally I'm into NHL hockey so that's why i signed up but it shows a lot of live NBA and i think NFL (if not live it'll be re-aired the following day "as-live") including the entry drafts live for like 12 hours! The only thing Sky Sports has is premeirship football. Nasn has much better NFL and NBA coverage and infinitely better NHL and Major League Baseball coverage! 15 euro a month is a bargain if you like north american sports..

Oh and getting Celtic and Rangers Tv along with Setanta Sports (which shows extra NASN content after midnight till 3am) included is just gravy.. but like i said it's primarily aimed at north american sports fans or avid GAA fans...

Subscribing to setanta during the football season is value for money but during the summer months its rubbish unless you like formula 1 and gaa.
I cant comment on nasn because im not into american sport.

The minimum subscription period is one year, so it doesn't matter when you start your subscription - you'll be caught for the summer months where there's no football on. You can't dip in and out on a month by month basis like you can on Sky Sports.

I subscribed at €150 for the year, and find that value for money - primarily for the NHL on NASN and the SPL coverage. The odd bit of GAA, Celtic League Rugby, American College Football, and Eurpoean Soccer adds to the package.

The rise to €180 a year isn't too surprising, considering what they've forked out for to land the PGA and, from the 2007/8 season, the Premiership.

Once the annual rate rises above €200 I might start thinking of other ways to spend the cash though.
