Connection and DNS issues

I came home today and my internet connection was not working. I had not changed any settings, but both firefox and IE are just saying page not displayed. The strange thing is that Ares, Soulseek and Skype work fine! I cannot work this out. Can anyone suggest what could be wrong? Thanks

theres a thread about this over in the broadband forum. Theres a post with a set of alternate dns servers you can use in case this happens again.

Yeah it was a UTV problem. There's a couple of posts on their support newsgroup about it. Nothing from UTV though, as usual.
