Well, out of boredom and curiousity I downloaded Super_Pi to check out my Core Duo. Ran the 1M calculation and it finished in 34 seconds, which is only 2 seconds slower than my 4400+ @ 2500Mhz!
I know the Duo is a great processor but must admit I'm surprised by this so gonna check versions and check out the desktop again at the weekend.

Yonah/Conroe is insanely good for superpi!

Just ran this program on my amd64 computer and got 37seconds. Its clocked at 2435mhz. Thinking of getting the 4000+ chip and maybe getting a oc off about 2700mhz. Only snag is that i only got this chip about 1 and a half months ago before the prices fell :(

Jesus, do 32M people. And make sure you all use the same version. I suggest 1.5 mod.

    32M 1.8Ghz P4 @ 2.84: 1hr 17m

    PC2700 RAM probably isn't helping.
