    Hi guys,

If you think the way IRMA launched the new charts in Ireland is unfair to independent labels, please support the online petition to suspend the new charts, until such time independent labels in Ireland have been consulted and brought up to speed.

    http://www.petitiononline.com/indies06/petition.html

here's some Background info for those who aren't familiar with what IRMA have done.

    thanks

Yeah dude, the charts are designed for commercial music and only tools care aboout them.

And singles charts? What genuine music fan cares about "singles"?

And in fairness who actually buys songs off iTunes that wouldn't have bought the single anyway?

they are designed for all music,it just that commercial swill dominates the top end of the charts.and im sure every artist who has a single out cares how many they are selling and how much exposure theyre getting!

exposure is not as dependent on singles anymore. It's still important but it's becoming less and less as time goes by

The price of singles in Ireland is a joke as well €5 for 3 tracks is mad, when its only £1.99 in England.
