Travelling to Vietnam in a couple of weeks. Stopping off in Malaysia on the way for 10 days. Decided to stop there as I was flying with Malaysian Airlines and it would've been a pity to just pass through.

Any suggestions on what to do/ not to do in Malaysia? I'll be travelling a lot in Vietnam so I'm not going to kill myself running around Malaysia. I have 3 days in KL on the way home so I'll save that til the end and do some shopping and eating!

Visit the islands - Tioman, Perhentian or Langkawi. Cheap, good food, and stunning snorkelling. Spent one of the most relaxing weeks of my life on the perhentians.

You can fly from Singapore/KL to them (or nearby) - for around 100 euro there is a package to tioman including flight and accomodation for 3 nights!! Search Tioman/flight and you should find the airline and package link.
