Laptop Batteries question

I got a Dell inspiron 1300 a couple of months back. At first I used to get about 3 hours out the 6 cell battery, now when fully charged the battery meter reads about 2 hours. Is this normal? I charge it every couple of days, could this be affecting the battery life? Thanks

Lithium Ion battery is it? Unfortunately its a losing battle trying to preserve the life of lappy batteries. Mine is the same, about 2 hours is average I would say. I would say if it gets any worse try doing the battery recalibration if its available in your BIOS setup.
