What is "Money Gram"?

Hi all, apologies if posted before, but a quick search of these boards yielded inconclusive results!

I have seen these offers in my Inbox to items I have for sale in buy and sell etc. Of course, most are automated responses and are scams. But one seemed to be more, ahem, genuine, so I thought I'll take them along for a ride. In the reply, they wanted to purchase using a Money Gram transfer. Now I think it is also a scam.

I have seen that Money Gram, but know nothing of it. Anyone shed some light please?

    Seanie.

Its a service where the user wires money like Western Union I believe, tell them to go fish. :) I would advise getting them to pay using Paypal.

It's a money transfer service, similar to Western Union. Once you transfer funds - the deal is done.

Thanks guys - I'll request Paypal or euro cheque and see what his reply is!

And of course, if he sent a cheque, goods would not leave until the bank cleared it as genuine! :)
