Although I'm back a couple of days from Sama Sama, I'm still trying to recover from a combination of fatigue, jetlag, brain overload and trying to get back to "normal". Wow, what an event and what a standard of people present, some of whom taught and some of whom we got to fight with/against. This is Guro Steve Lefebvre's review of the weekend (http://sayoc.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1099) and its really difficult to convey how great everything was about the whole weekend. I'll try to put up some more information when I get a chance.

Thanks Mola. Couldn't do the Hidden Agenda on Friday night as it was full and I couldn't really afford it anyway with the family with me. Guro Krishna put my name forward for testing, so all of the Apprentices and Apprentice Instructors were put under the gun early on Saturday morning after we had done some basic drill applications with Tuhon Chris himself. Apart from having to review/demonstrate all of the material we knew, there were also some dexterity/co-ordination tests, like having to stick projectiles, do a quick draw from the sheath within 3 attempts INSIDE 0.4secs among some other things. It was a long day but some excellant training. We went for a break and came back for Sayaw that night which had a different feel to last year but was still an amazing experience.

Ama Guro Raffy Pambuan gave an amazing display of horse whip which was excellant along with Espada Y Daga and a serious "play" full contact leg and hand shot stick spar. Man these guys could hit and when they did make contact it was HARD and absolutley no expression. This was just another example of the level of people within the Sayoc family. Shagged tired guys, so I'll try to post more tomorrow.
