Recently invested in a Creative Zen Photo Sleek with 20GB. Now, I'm trying to fill up that 20 gigs :D

Are there sites are absolutely legal (no questions asked) but are cheap? Allofmp3.com has questions about its legality, but albums listed on sites named on pro-music.org aren't much cheaper than a CD bought in a shop.

Can anyone recommend a legal site that's very competitively priced?

    Thanks

    - Lady

just to let you know, allofmp3 is totally illegal, no money is paid to artists... hence the cheapness :)

No its not ! There are certainly question marks over its legality and several attempts have been made (and failed) to shut it down; but you should not come on here and say that its "totally illegal"

Imusic isn't exactly artist's gift from God either...

Apple says iTunes is "better than free" because it's "fair to the artists and record labels." That's simply not true. First of all, Apple gets 3 times as much money as musicians from each sale. Apple takes a 35% cut from every song and every album sold, a huge amount considering how little they have to do. Record labels receive the other 65% of each sale. Of this, major label artists will end up with only 8 to 14 cents per song, depending on their contract. Many of them will never Artists Get Ripped Off. even see this paltry share because they have to pay for producers and recording costs, both of which can be enormous.

it's legal to smoke weed in amsterdam, but you don't roll up in front of some gards with a spliff in dublin, do you?

it hasn't been shut down because, as jaqian said, it's russian, and the RIAA and european equivalents have no juristiction over the site

i wouldn't claim such a thing, but the question was about another site entirely :)
