more than 7 channels on epg?

simple question, we recently switched over to a projector from the old 28" crt. with the screen real estate having increased 10 fold, the preview screen in the corner is now the same size as my old tv :D, om looking to try and show a few more channels at once on the screen, the 9" high letters are way to big for my liking.…

ive changed the resolution, the screen type settings and every setting i can find,
but the epg still displays in a format suitable for a small crt.

is this normal,
and is there a way to increase the numebr of channels?
