Does anyone here have any expierence with this? i'm trying to setup a stream at the moment from my pc so that my mates can hear some of my mp3's.

So far i have winamp with the DSP Plugin and the Shoutcast DNAS all installed. I have a dyanmic IP with my broadband but my local pc is set to 192.168.0.5.

I have winamp, with the Server Monitor and the Shoutcast source applications all open at the moment. The DSP screen is showing that i have a connection and the audio levels are rising. However i'm getting the following error in the server monitor:

<07/09/06@23:10:43> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 86.41.157.69:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out).)

Whenever one of my mates trys to connect to http://my.ip.address:8000 the connection times out.

I have port forwarded the port 8000 to 192.168.0.5, ICS is disabled and i have modified the config file by setting the yport to 666 to counteract any possible ISP cache problems but still no joy.

have you got a firewall running on the pc? I had this going a while back for a pirate radio station its fairly simple. forwarding port 8000 and then changing it to 666 on your local pc could be causing the problem.
