I've just qualified from Sligo IT with a degree in business & specialising in HR Management. Managed to get a distinction and I'm looking for employment now.

Just wondering if anyone knew of any companies or agencies looking for HR trainees?

Or had any advice on how I could get into the profession?

It's a very hard area to get into without both a qualification and experience.
You need to get yourself CIPD qualified, and then lash out as many CV's as possible.

As for work experience, I imagine it's very hard to get it, the HR deals with alot of sensitive infomation.

How can I go about obtaining a CIPD qualification?

OP, Suppose your best bet would be to talk to Adette or Madeline in the careers office in the college. I see your're in Dublin, you could give them a call. Im making an appointment to see them today

You're course was either CIPD approved or it wasn't, as far as I can see it wasn't. Unfortuanatley AFAIK it's basically a case of taking another course, it's possible that you may be able to just sit an exam, nut to be honest I hvae never heard of that been the case.

Heres a list of their approved courses.

Start at the bottom, work in a admin role and take it from there.

I don't work in HR myself, but am considering getting into it, perhaps there is somone else who is is better "qualified" to advise you.

Have you tried searching Irishjobs.ie for HR Jobs? Or else register your CV with a recruitement agency.
