Advise on laptop purchase

Hi. Im looking at buying a laptop but im not sure where to go for a good deal. Basically i need it for basic home use at first (internet, music, movies etc) but will in the coming months want to use it as more a small office/home office setup as im setting up a business with a colleague.

The dell inspiron 6400 looked like something that would meet my needs but i dont know whats considered good these days etc.

Also i dont want to spend over a grand cos im cheap n nasty!

the Dell 6400 does look like a very good deal at the moment especially with it's double memory offer and dual core processor.

You could also try laptopsdirect.ie, they're pretty cheap and have a wide selection.
