You'll be using either the S video, or Composite in.

    1. Does the cable work?
    2. Is the PS2 on?
    3. Are you using the composite in port?
    4. Does the hauupage work?
    5. Update the drivers, http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support.html

Assuming you are using the standard composite cable that comes with the PS2 that has the yellow (video) and red/white (audio) RCA connectors and your TV tuner has a composite input one of the recommended methods is to use Dscaler.

DScaler can do much to improve the image quality as the output signal can often be pretty bad from game consoles when displayed on a computer monitor. Although you could help things by getting the s-video output cable for the PS2 if your TV tuner has an s-video input.

Download Dscaler 4.1.15 & install it. After initial configuration go to the sources menu and you should see your input card in this case the TV tuner and hopefully it lists the composite input of the unit so select that and if all goes well it should display the output from the PS2.

[Also depending on the make of your TV tuner you will need an adaptor like this to convert the audio if the TV tuner only has a 3.5mm audio jack input]

Sorry, I wasn't really being helpful. You shouldn't need to tune it, there should be an option in whatever tv software yout using to pick input type, i.e., Composite or S-Video.

Your using the RF cable... FYI the picture quality from that is going to be terrible I would strongly recommend at least using the composite inputs if you can on your TV tuner card.

Any video game store that sells PS2 accessories should have the composite cable or if you're lucky the s-video cable and it will make displaying it on the computer monitor a lot easier as well.

You can get some universal PS2 cables on Amazon & other places that support all type of connectors as well.

If you really want to try and proceed with RF the only thing I can think of is that you try the software that came with the TV tuner and set it to auto scan every frequency to see if it picks it up.

not wanting to spoil your fun lads but even if you get the ps2 tuned in, it takes any tv card about 2 seconds to encode the video

so you will see everything 2 seconds after the ps2 sends it out, so u can't really play games using it.
